Why Should We Do Charity?

The Concept of Charity

Charity is not a compulsion but a way of showering unconditional love & support towards people who are in need. The need can be monetary assistance or social support to make someone mentally & physically happy.

This need or urge to do something for others is what is called Charity. This feeling comes from our heart when our mind analyses the other person’s pain & his emotional trauma. This is truly a selfless act where a person gives but asks nothing in return, which in return makes charity precious & soulful.

One needs not to be rich to show compassion towards others, it can be done by anyone from any section of society. The only thing needed is the zeal & a burning desire to solve other people’s pain.

When this process begins we cannot give weight to our problems & ignore other people’s pain  but we must downplay our troubles to resolve those for others in need.

Helps reduce poverty

When we do charity, the cycle of poverty gets broken down. This aid helps people living in extreme poverty to fight any health epidemic or any other crisis affecting their lives, thereby making their standard of living better.

Therefore, Giving helps combat this malice & gives an effective sigh of relief.

Our true acquisitions lie only in our charities, we get only as we give

William Simms

We get more Social

The charity helps in socializing with like-minded people, which gives shape to our opinions as well as thought processes & ultimately provides us with great satisfaction. Involving with large groups of people helps increase our chances of providing relief to masses by fighting for their cause such as poverty, cancer, etc.

The important question today is how shall we participate in this noble cause called Charity & reap benefits like above.

This is not as difficult as it may sound & can be started right in our homes. We can provide our old clothes which we have not worn for many years to people coming to our homes for cleaning & other domestic chores. We can also ask them if they want us to teach their children which will be a test of our knowledge as well as provide immense help for their future.

Another thing we can do is that when we go out to eat in our favorite restaurants, anything left can fill the hunger of people sitting outside these restaurants & they need not sleep on an empty stomach.

These are quite a few initiatives which may sound small but are stepping stones in starting a great source of happiness called Charity.
